Isilon Gen 4 drive options

We have an Isilon NL400 cluster with a failed 3TB drive (HDD, SEAGATE ST3000NM0063). It is my understanding that this drive is end of life. A replacement option would be a 4TB drive (Seagate Exos 7E8 ST4000NM003A - hard drive - 4 TB - SAS 12Gb/s).

Are there any limitation to these nodes that will prevent a 4TB drive functioning properly? Also, we are running OneFS 8.1.2.0. Will we have an issue where licensing is concerned? I know the Gen6 Isilon have a capacity license piece to it.

Thanks for your guidance.

@SanMan775

It has to be drive ordered thru Dell EMC or OneFS will not recognize it. They will tell you what can be ordered.

@PhilLam,

Thanks for responding. I was advised that the drive has to be the exact same specs. I was able to source a few.

Thanks.
