Hi Praveen,

Please check if any jobs are running kindly use the below command

#isi job status -v

If there is FlexProtect job running it will not allow to proceed with replacement

Hi Praveen,

As flexprotect job is not running and disk is in smartfail state, please try stopfailing the disk and check if goes back to healthy state. Use below command for stopfail.

# isi devices drive stopfail C3 --node-lnn=8

If the disk goes back to healthy, monitor for next 24 hours. If not, please raise a case with Dell support to investigate further.

Thanks,

Aviral Gupta

@Praveen.Singh , has to be in "replace" status first. Create SR to investigate why flexprotect did not run.

sorry guys for the very late response, we have followed the below action plan.

1. Verify any job running on the node or not.

2. job running wait till finish else power off the Node and replace the disk and then power on and do the disk check and format.

3. again verify the disk and add it.

4. it works for me in all the issues have faced this many times and this works.

5. dont forget risk is yours.
