Isilon HDFS and backup

Hello Isilon Experts:

If we're using Isilon Cluster as HDFS with Cloudera. Could be fine, to do backup using NDMP ?

Mentions in the page 67, about NDMP backup support: 

But, i'ts not sure for me, about to the data. Can NDMP to backup the data keeping the HDFS format ? .. Is there any limitation ? ..
