isi_reformat_node failing

Hello,

I am trying to reformat a node on an Isilon x210s. When I run isi_reformat_node --factory I receive the following error: "Factory reset aborted.
Node contains 2 drives that did not pass MFG drive check
Once situation is remedied, you will need to
run 'isi_reformat_node --factory' again."

Any help getting this node formatted would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

G

Hello gBIGcan,

You need to make sure that all drives are healthy before reformatting the node.  Also, you need to make sure that all drives are supported drives for your system.

# isi_reformat_node -f -r --nolkg --factory
INFO: Checking Bay  1/da1 SSD Wear
INFO: Bay  1/da1 is ok
INFO: Checking Bay  2/da2 SSD Wear
ERROR: Bay  2/da2 failed SSD Wear check - DO NOT SHIP [value="13", thresh="10", direction="up"]

isi_radish -a /dev/da[1,2] | grep 'Percentage Used Endurance Indicator'
Percentage Used Endurance Indicator  :                   9 (0x9)
Percentage Used Endurance Indicator  :                  13 (0xd)

But why there is limit by 10 (thresh="10")? The values are in percent, why more than 10% will be detected as bad drive?

Hello just_passing_by,

When testing we found that 10 was the best.
