Move Single Client to a Node?

Question

I currently have one node of my cluster suspended from SmartConnect duties and this node has zero clients connected. I want to move a single client connection from one of the other nodes to this node as a test. I need to select the client (a host with non-prod VMs running... NFSv3) so I don't risk affecting our prod VM environment (for example, just unsuspending the node and letting the SmartConnect do its thing to randomly send clients to that node).

Any way to do this?

I'll be following up with a separate post on why the node is suspended and sharing our experience yesterday with installing patch-191603 on OneFS 8.0.0.4. Thanks.

HI Ryan_CSULB,

Have the client connect directly by IP address (IP address assigned to that node, not SmartConnect IP address) rather than by name. The node suspension just means that it is left out of the SmartConnect rotation. All other services should still be available on that node.

Thanks sjones5... guess I was overthinking it.  I'm working with the VM guys to switch a non-Prod host.
