Multiple InsightIQ instances for the same Isilon cluster

Question

Hello, Is it at all possible to have multiple InsightIQ instances for the same Isilon cluster? Our Isilon is managed by 3rd party company which is reluctant to provide us access to their InsightIQ instance and we would like to have one that will be fully managed by us. Thank you.

Hi Mark_Strong,

Yes, you can have multiple instances of InsightIQ pointed to a cluster as long as they don't share the same datastore. For more information, check out the support documentation on InsightIQ, and check the compatibility guide to see which version will work with your version of OneFS.

Thank you dynamox We are trying to get R/O access but also would like to explore a possibility to run two InsightIQ instances and point them at the same Isilon cluster.

they won't even give you read only access ?  I give all my customer read only access to the appliance so they can use file analytics instead of messing around with tools like TreeSize ..etc
