Node shutdown after drive removal

Hello,

one of my customers is using IsilonSD Edge (three Nodes; version 8.0.1.0 with latest patches). Confiured protection level is [+3d:1n1d].

They discovered that each time they remove one harddrive out of the server the corresponding IsilonSD node is shutting down. Node VM is completely powered off. It is possible to power on node VM and running Isilon. vSphere ESX servers are running version 6.0.0.3634794.

Any suggestions to overcome this behavior?

Bye

Robert

    Hi Robert,

Are you smartfailing that drive from OneFS before removing from the ESXi ?

    Thanks.
