I'm in the process of testing out using Isilon (onefs 8.0.0.3) as the target for our Veritas Enterprise Vault. One of the features of Enterprise Vault for Exchange is to leave a copy of the item in the original location until it has confirmed that archived item is backed up. This can be done either by setting the archive bit on the file or writing a file to the directory upon successful completion of a backup. What I'd like to do is write said file after a synciq job on the directory completes successfully. Is there any automated way of doing this? Also I am completely new to this world so my apologies if I've placed this in the wrong location or tagged it improperly please point me in the right direction.
