Same Backend switch for New Isilon Cluster

Hi,

Have anyone any experience a situation where there are 2 backend s5232f-on switches and an existing isilon cluster using f200 to those switches.

And now we have a new cluster using h700, and we don't want it to be merged into the active tier. Is it possible to initialize the h700 by connecting it to the existing backend s5232f-on switch?

Thank You

Hello jamesekl,

You can have the new nodes connected on the same switch. When you go to configure your H700 nodes using the wizard it is going to ask you if you would like to create a new cluster or join a cluster. Here is a link to PowerScale Node Installation Guide, just in case you need it. file:///C:/Users/Samuel_Landers/Downloads/pscale_node_install_guide.pdf
