smart pool file(list) move and validation when complete

Hi,

I have a question re smartpools.

Overview of what I am looking to achieve

run a job against a known list of files. To move up the files in advance of job to a higher performant pool ( for reads), and then drop files to a lower performant pool for long term storage and to free up space on the higher performant pool.

I understand I need to have smartpools license to complete this. But what I am unsure of is how to

presumably pass an isi command with either a list of files or multiple commands with 1 per file to move up the pool.

how to get an ack that command/commands succeeded prior to running job from client to read the files

one job has complete to presumably pass an isi command with either a list of files or multiple commands with 1 per file to move down the pool.

Having to run 1 isi command per file feels as if it will not scale, so hence my concern.

The SmartPoolsTree job introduced in OneFS 8.0 should help here.

It was recently discussed in the contect of "dry runs"

SmartPools Dry-Run

but strangely it is missing from the otherwise very detailed SmarPools white paper
