Smartfail Architecture
Hi
I am building a cluster with Isilon X 200 × 3 nodes + X 210 × 3 nodes.
The protection level is 2d: 1n.
At this time Smartfail was executed on X200 × 1 node.
What happens when one node fails while running Smartfail?
Will you lose data?

If a node fails during a SmartFail, the SmartFail will pause, and a FlexProtect job will start immediately with high priority and a high impact policy to as fast as possible re-protect that data into available free space.
Make sense?
SmartFails are like a predictive fail, so by definition a bit lower priority.

Hi
Thank you reply.
The node is read-only during smart fail.
When smart fail is stopped, will it become Read/Write?
