Smartlock Question
hello all
I have configured a folder called lock in the path \\isilon\smb\lock with the following settings
Default retention time span
5 minutes
Minimum retention time span
No value
Maximum retention time span
No value
Automatically commit files
1 minute
Override retention date is disabled
I then create a file text.txt, which is filled with sample text and saved.
- After 1 minute I am unable to rename or update the file - good
- After 5 minutes I am able to delete the file - good
- After 5 minutes I am unable to edit the file - bad?
note: also one file has been unlocked for 3 days and I am still unable to edit it.
so my question
1. Once the SL has been removed should I be able to edit the file?
thanks

No after WORM retention is over, file can't be modified, although it can be deleted. Pls see this -
https://mydocuments.emc.com/pub/en-us/isilon/onefs/7.2.1/ifs-pub-administration-guide-cli/18-ifs-br-file-retention-with-smartlock.htm
It may be old version but it remains same with latest versions as well.
