SSH logins intermittently stops working
Hello, I am running into a very frustrating issue with SSH logins.
SSH intermittently stops accepting connections.
This is happening with both domain-linked accounts and non-domain local accounts. The issue is happening on at least 3 separate clusters in our environment. I am sure that the user account has the correct Privileges. The account is able to open up SSH sessions about 50% of the time, otherwise it does not work.
When the issue occurs, the following message appears in /var/messages/log
2017-04-11T17:04:52-04:00 <4.3> rtg-1(id2) sshd[27842]: error: PAM: permission denied for isilonuser@mydomain from dkr2.mycompany.com
This user has the correct permissions:
rtg-1# isi auth roles view --role=SSHLogin
Name: SSHLogin
Description: -
Members: mydomain\adgroup
Privileges
ID: ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_SSH
Read Only: True
