Support IQ and SNMP trap alerts for Isilon?
Hi ALL,
How to check support IQ is working fine so if any failure in cluster will be autmatically raised to Isilon support.
Also how to check the SNMP traps are generating and respective monitoring team will receive alerts if any failure or any issues occur.

SupportIQ - Ping Isilon Support who can confirm that it is operational and discuss any remaining questions you may have about SupportIQ functionality.
From the support side there is an audit log of the log gather.
Where an isi_gather_info will write the logs to /ifs/Isilon_Support/pkg, SupportIQ will write the log gather to /var/crash/SupportIQ/upload/alerts

run a isi_gather_info from commandline. If the upload is succesful, supportIQ works.

Not quite accurate. isi_gather_info will bundle up logs and upload them via FTP/HTTP to Isilon. This is not SupportIQ. SupportIQ requires at a minimum, HTTPS access to supportiq.isilon.com. You may need to allow the IP addresses of supportiq.isilon.com out. There are a few addresses for supportiq.isilon.com, one of which is 209.202.167.34. You will have to ping the FQDN to see which IP address you get back.
To make a basic test, you can telnet to supportiq.isilon.com, port 443 and if Telnet gives you a blank prompt instead of an error, then you can at least get to the server.
SupportIQ provides a few features currently. The cluster will periodically send a heartbeat so Isilon can tell if a cluster is up/down. It allows Isilon support to request logs. This happens during the heartbeat intervals. It also provides a path to send alerts to Isilon which automatically create support cases.
