discrete graphics on alienware m17x-r4 showing signs it's about to die

​my alienware m17x-r4 came with gtx 660m. it *** out about 11 months after i purchased it. thank god for warranty. at the time, i wasn't allowed upgraded replacement because gtx 660m was still available. now, i think it's about to fail again and since i have been extending my warranty, will i still get a replacement gtx 660m or is it possible to upgrade? i realize this may not be the place to ask this question but i'm hoping someone here can help me. my warranty is within asia pacific and there seems to be no available tech support other than going to the official service center which is an island away.​
