graphics problems with Windows 7 64bit and Intel 4500mhd
I recently upgraded my Studio 1737 to Windows 7, 64bit. Since doing so I have updated my drivers to the latest available from Dell, however I'm having horrible problems with my graphics.
I've attached two images in the hopes that someone will be able to tell me whats causing these problems.
Thanks

Enable Transparency
Well i sorted my issue but it ment enabling transparency but i couldn't be bothered doing it all the time so i just used Reg download file to keep it off works a treat for me.
Using a REG File Download
1. To Enable Transparency
NOTE: This is the default setting.

Johnny2good,
Mostly a mismatched RAM issue. Did you try the BIOS update? It fixes it also, except under heavy load.

I know its a mismatch iv read all your other posts bar the one about the Bios update you say under heavy load i would assume you mean when your running something meager its screwed up again feel free to tell me different.
But if there is a bios update for it i might as well get it don't think ill buy another 2 gig of ram for it its the daughters lappy and 3 gig is fine i have my 8gig desktop to play with lol.
Anyway it works flawless with the disable reg added and she wont have to keep doing it when you reboot so until there is a better fix it will do her for now, but i'll update the bios on it if you could point me to it even better cheers..:emotion-21:

Johnny2good,
Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number. It should bring you to a page with the drivers for your system. Click on BIOS and then download the BIOS and save it to your desktop. Since different systems can pretain to this thread, I will not provide the link to the bios upgrade.
With the ac adapter plugged in and all program closed, then double click on the Bios.exe file. You'll get a message what is going to happen. Do not click on anything, it will start flashing on it's own. The computer will restart, when finished. It should be done and installed.
Usually under heavy load, opening too many programs, at the same time, will cause the issues.

octobio,
When my computer was in for hindge repair, Dell updated the BIOS and that seemed to help.
When your sister installed the 64-bit version, did she install the drivers in order? How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
If you run Finding System Information REMOVE YOUR PRODUCT ID you can see how much RAM you have. If it's not in equal ammounts, the graphics go blurry under heavy load.

I have the same problem. It began once I upgraded to wndows 7. I installled the 32 bit disc, than a year later my sister puts in the 64 bit against my wishes.
I do not game on my computer. I have the same double vision look you attached in the photos. I can mouse over the blurring ones on desktop and they clear up.
Have you ever found a solution besides unistalling 64 which did not start the problem. It had something to do with one of the updates after I put Windows 7 on.
