My laptop dell inspiron n-4030 doesn't start up i have attached youtube video clip that shows the problem on my laptop please help me to fix this

i folloed ur steps but still no change when i iew diagniostic and repair details it says ' start up repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem' . i din fine any beep codes or led code

Hi sweet samee,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and please follow the below mentioned steps to fix the issue.

1. Please shut down the computer, remove all the components connected to the computer (including battery if Laptop computer) and as nothing’s connected to the computer, press and hold power button for about a minute, which will release the flea power.
2. Please connect the AC Adaptor only and battery out and check if everything else is working fine on the computer.
3. Please connect a known good AC Adaptor or battery and check if the computer powers on and if it is booting fine.
4. Also make a note of any error messages like beep codes or LED codes.

Please complete these steps and let us know your findings.

Hi sweet same,

Thank you for your response, it looks like the computer’s powering on and is not able to boot to the Windows.

1. Turn on or restart the computer.
2. When the Dell logo appears, press immediately
3. When the boot device list appears, highlight Boot to Utility Partition and press
4. When the Dell Diagnostics main menu appears, select the Express test

Please complete this test and capture if any error message displayed and after this restart the computer again and tap F8 and under advanced options select the Safe mode option and try staying in Safe mode and use the computer for some time to check if the computer’s working fine there.

Please try these steps and let us know your findings.

Please let us know after performing the steps for running the diagnostics on the computer did you notice any error message on the system.
Let us know what’s happening on your computer and update us the information so we can work accordingly.

dear sir

good evening

i have dell inspiron model no N5040

I am suffring from bootijng problem
sence 4 dayes

whenever i open my laptop frist time, after appearing dell logo not working booting system ,

and when i close via power butten then i again start then it work

please suggest me about the problem

Hi abdulmajidshaikh,

I’d glad to assist you regarding the same, Please follow the below mentioned steps to fix the issue.

1. Please shut down the computer, remove all the components connected to the computer (including battery) and as nothing’s connected to the computer, press and
hold power button for about a minute, which will release the flea power.
2. Please check if the Hard Drive is recognized in BIOS.
3. Perform a test on the hard drive by tapping F12 during startup.
4. Select Diagnostics, the ePSA starts running the quick test without waiting for user input.
5. Select the Hard drive from the picture and perform the test.

Please complete these tests and after running the diagnostics, please capture any error message on the computer.
