Need webcam driver and application for Dell Inspiron 15R n5010 model.

this is the file you need. it will enable you to use your webcam onlime(skype, gtalk camera etc). it will also install software where you can use your camera for purposes u need.

hm...it's a tricky one then. ok. i can confirm that it works for me. i can use my webcam and stuff. another possbile sollution is that you miss some other driver that is also connected to webcam. i can send you list of all dell drivers i have installed, maybe that will help

ok. i know how annoying this problem is so i want to help you. can u give me this info - what is your exact make of notebook. how did you install your OS(was it DELL OEM  version or you installed Windows and then drivers separately). And what is the exact status of your camera. can you use it in any way, with any program? Dell Webcam Central, Debut Video Capture, Skype, Gmail?

It was a dos machine so I installed windows separately and den da drivers which were downloaded from net

cam cant be used at all.

rest any cam applications say tht plug in a camera :(

it's a tough one...hm..well, my only advice would be this one. since we have the same machine, there's no reason why the same thing for me wouldn't do the job for you. i recommend a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit. And i can give you a list of all the drivers that i installed on my machine(for webcam and all other dell drivers you need). If the logic is correct, it should work for you too. It is a 3-4hours of work tops, so i think it won't be a bother if you can find no other solution. These are all the drivers i have installed(apart from ati catalyst). and debut software, which is a webcam utility. one or two of these drivers are not compatible with dell inspiron n5010, but it doesn't matter, you just install those which are. Of course if you decide to do this. I can't think of anything else. All the drivers can be found at dell support website and the ftp server i mentioned in some of the posts above. Good luck!

Get out the webcam disk that came with your computer and go to install the webcam. When you get to this screen...

Click browse

Change the destination folder to C:\Program Files

Then proceed with installing the webcam.

Thank you so much White451. The software works fine with me. I still cannot see the camera in scanners & cameras in the control panel.  Any twain software such as Photo Draw etc... Still can see the integrated Camera.

Glad i could help. I myself can use software with dell webcam central (there's also dell webcam center which doesn't work for me) and debut video. It's for basic use, recording, capturing via webcam, And the driver i mentioned enabled me to use webcam with gmail and skype. I myself am satisfied with that cause it was a shame not being able to use the webcam at all. Now it's ok i guess:)...anyway, glad i could help:)

My problem was tht the integrated camera was not functional

dell person came to home and sorted it out :)

Where is the Webcam Driver? This is the issue. We have no problem with other drivers. They are available on Dell Site. Please be more specific.

Acually Dell webcam central is not supported to the webcam of the 15R. It works fine with Skype but Yahoo messenger cannot detect it:emotion-12:
