Noise

I think my D800 is quite noisy and I do not know if this should be the case. . The fan goes on every 15 min for 5-10 min and makes a lot of noise. Moreover, even if the fan is off, I think it makes a noise (probably another smaller fan) which is quite louder than the noise of the laptops of other brands. What do you think?

- Fan Noise - I have thst on my Lstitude C840. Mine might be worse thsn yours since I hsve s hsnd me down from my boss who may have damaged one of the fans. Anyway - I downloaded a little program that controls the speeds of the fans depending on what environment you are in. For instance, if you are in a meeting, it slowly ramps the fans up, based on CPU temp whereas if you have the profile set to Games, it will react with cooling much faster, and of course loder.
