Screen Fading and Vertical Lines appearing

Under Warrant.  Dell can't fix it because it must be a "software problem"  but they can sell me a tech service for $250 a year that can probable fix it for me.  They could even email me a email verification that was clickable had to copy and paste.  I'm really impressed!  My first and last time buying a Dell product.

Hi Drshirran,

Welcome to the Community. To fix the fading window follow the below steps.

1. Click on control panel; 2. Click on view by: Large Icons; 3. Click on "Performance Information and tools"; 4; Click on adjust "Visual effects"; 5; There will be three line items showing the word "Fade" as the first character string on each line. Uncheck the box in front of each of those three lines and then "OK" everything and back out. The fade effects will no longer be present. Restart your computer.

If you have vertical line on your LCD, connect an external monitor to your computer and check if see the line. Contact Dell tech support to have the LCD replaced

Hope this helps.

Thank you

Royan
