Serial Port/Com Port problems - figure out who is using my COM port?
I have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and am trying to get my GPS receiver to communicate with it. I keep getting an error message telling me that the COM port is in use. I see that the Modem is using COM 3, but who is using COM 1? How can I tell? I've gone into the BIOS and set the serial port to COM 1.
Help?

Thanks....it turns out that my boss' computer had the Compaq iPaq sync program installed.
