Upgrading 1545 HDD Q/A

I own a 1545 that currently has a 160GB IDE ATA HDD.

I am looking to replace this HDD with a larger one, however Serial ATA (SATA) are easier to get a hold of.

So my question is obvious, will I be able to replace my IDE ATA drive with a Serial ATA (SATA) drive?

Here are more specifics:

Current HDD:

156GB Western Digital WDC WD1600BEVT-75A23T0 ATA Device (IDE)

Current Motherboard:

Dell Inc. 0G848F (Microprocessor)

I am an advanced user, but my experience with more with desktops, not laptops. So before I tear this system open, I want to know if anyone else here knows that I can use a SATA HDD with this motherboard. When ever I try to look up information about this motherboard, I come up empty handed, Dell does not like to release detailed specifics about its hardware.

The Inspiron 1545 uses SATA only - not EIDE, so you can upgrade to any 2.5" 9.5 mm SATA notebook drive you wish to use.

The BEVT is a SATA drive.  The EIDE drive ends in BEVE
