The CPU is soldered on the MB. To change to a different CPU you would have to replace the MB as shown on this page at Parts-People.

The CPU is fair, but you should have matching pairs of memory and not a mismatch.

With matching pairs you will be running in pure "Dual Channel" instead of the system having to constantly switch between "Single" and "Dual Channel".

Make sure to have "System Performance Options" set to "Adjust for Best Performance"

Set your "Virtual Memory" to "Custom Size"

Then set the "Initial Size" to 2-3 times the recommend size.

Then set the "Maximum Size" to 3-4 times the recommend size.

actually im a programmer, so does this Cpu good for programming with 24 GB of RAM???
