Dell Touchpad Assistant does not have Button tab

Recently, both the left and right touchpad buttons on my Latitude 5591 stopped working; I blame the cats who like to walk across and sleep on the keyboard. I have tried enabling the buttons using the Dell Touchpad Assistant application, but there is no "Buttons" tab in the application. How do I enable the tab?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers ("Dell Touchpad" and "HID-compliant touch pad"), and done a fresh install of the Dell Touchpad Assistant application from the Microsoft store.

I have downloaded the drivers from "https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds503972-alps-touchpad-driver-for-windows-10-64-bit-notebook" and installed them.

I followed the instructions below from "https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/Can-t-adjust-Touchpad-settings/td-p/7196926"; however, the buttons still do not work.

"One more update - the case resolution was that we should be using the Dell Touchpad Assistant app from the MS Store, instead of the Dell Touchpad Settings app, at least on newer hardware (specifically on the 5591). Using this app, we can either enable the Windows Settings management of the touchpad, or optionally revert back to the legacy settings where we control it through the Dell Touchpad Assistant app. And we can also configure pointer stick settings via this app. All of the above works properly on the 5591."

the Touchpad software needs to be reinstalled, make sure the previous one is removed first.

AdrianG001,

Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not help.

I removed the Dell Touchpad Assistant, then downloaded it from the Microsoft Store and installed it, but it did not fix the problem. I then uninstalled the "Dell Touchpad" application, and "Dell Touchpad Settings", and downloaded "Dell Touchpad Settings" from the Microsoft Store, and the Dell Touchpad drivers from the Dell website, as long as the Intel Serial IO driver. I reinstalled "Dell Touchpad Settings", restarted the laptop, installed the Intel Serial IO Driver, restarted the laptop, then reinstalled the driver, and it still did not help.
