Dell WD19S Dock Realtek Ethernet Driver not showing unless I plug in USB C twice
I have 5 Dell Latitude 3540s and 5 Dell WD19S docking stations they all have this issue.
The Issue: When connecting the USB C to the laptop the first time the ethernet on the dock does not show in device manager. The driver simply wont appear until you disconnect the USB C port and reconnect it.
Things I've Tried: Updating Bios, updating the realtek drivers from dells WD19s drivers page, updating the firmware on the dock, turning on usb boot in bios, turning on through boot in bios.
It works on reboot but not if the computer has been disconnected for the dock a significant amount of time
I noticed someone else having the same exact issue but with a different model dell

I also noticed this was an issue with WD22TB4 but dell has a firmware update for that realtek ethernet but it ofcourse doesn't work with this dock.

@Sean Good Dell must have had this issue with other people because looks like they gave me a early birthday present. Install the new ethernet firmware that came out today!!!

make sure you disable windows defender because it thinks its a virus lmao
add an exclusion folder to windows defender under
c:\programdata\microsoft\windows\start menu\ programs\DellDockFW_Upgrade_Utility
