Hello, my dell latitude e5440 was working perfectly until one day it won't anymore. When I press the power button nothing happens , only The light of the power button turns on for a few seconds but then it turns off again. No sounds, no leds, no fans are starting. Ps: I have tried to hard/power reset the laptop and it doesn't work. And I'm 100% sure that my battery and power cord are Ok. Please help. I'm currently studying and i don't have another pc to manage my situation. My friend have a Latitude 6410 is having the same problem. But he have the battery led blinking 3 times and the fans are turning on for a second then off

Welcome to the Dell Community @amdfrn
Hold down the “ D “ key and power-on.
The laptop should go through an LCD test of solid White, Red, Green, Blue and Black 2-3 times.
After completion it should try to boot 2-3 times.
If it does not boot, then the next thing would be to disconnect the BIOS/CMOS battery.
Disconnect the AC adapter and the “Main” battery.
Disconnect the “Coin-Cell” battery.
Connect the AC adapter for 5-10 seconds.
Then disconnect the AC adapter.
Connect the “Coin-Cell and Main” batteries.” Only”
Turn the laptop over and open the lid.
Now connect the AC adapter.
It should try to automatically boot 2-3 times.
Post your results.
Best regards,
U2

Hey guys I have a latitude e5440 also, when I push the power button the fan turns on and also the power button led but then shuts off after some seconds. After it turns off the wireless light and the CPU lights turn on and the battery light flashes continuously. I've already tried releasing static electricity, disconnecting the BIOS/CMOS battery, and also holding the "D" key down. Does anyone have any suggestions?
