Latitude e7450 touch screen
Can I convert my touchscreen which went bad into a non-touch screen? I will be happy to replace the entire screen assembly. Let me know if the bottom part of e7450 is the same for both touch screen and non-touch screen.
thanks

@IAKT the only difference for for chassis plastics relates to the type of graphics card in the system, discrete or integrated.
There is no difference for the display type used. As long as you replace the full hinge up assembly for the screen I can't see why there would be any problems. The only advice I can provide is to ensure you get the same camera / mic capabilities for the touch screen assembly that you currently have.

Hi Allan -
Thanks for your response. A few follow up questions:
@IAKT the only difference for chassis plastics relates to the type of graphics card in the system, discrete or integrated. How do I know whether I have a discrete or an integrated graphics card? my service tag is Could you please look it up and advice? Is the graphics card in the bottom part or the LCD assembly?
There is no difference for the display type used. As long as you replace the full hinge up assembly for the screen I can't see why there would be any problems. Could you please provide the correct part number of the non-touch screen LCD assembly for Latitude E7450? Sometimes there are two parts numbers. For example, I notice that my Latitude E7450 can take either of the touch screen LCD assemblies: 2D73T or 08MNKF.
The only advice I can provide is to ensure you get the same camera / mic capabilities for the touch screen assembly that you currently have. How can I check that? Any help you could offer here will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Imran

Welcome to the Dell Community @IAKT
The "Integrated" graphics would be the Intel HD 5500 "Integrated into the CPU"
If you also had "Discrete" graphics you would see an Nvidea GPU installed.
If you look-up your Service Tag you will note that you have the 2D73T 14.0" Touch FHD (1920 x 1080)

I am looking for the non-touch screen. The touch screen assembly is too expensive.

I see a few non-touch LCD screens but not the entire assembly which is what I am looking for.

Please give an accurate link or compatible model that we can use. Otherwise, it is absolutely worthless
