No bootable devices found

Latitude 7280

Latitude 7280

No bootable devices found after Dell firmware update was automatically installed. Have run F5  onboard diagnostics ( no issues)  and checked setup settings  on F2 - restored default, not in Legacy ( issues for previous posters)

Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the main battery from the system board.  Hold the power button for 30 sec.

Reassemble and try again.

If that happens, your reserve battery is also dead.  If you can get into system setup (F2 at powerup), does it see a hard drive or SSD?

In F2 I can see settings. Under general/ system information it has memory information and Processor information. I don’t see mention of HDD or SSD

@ejn63 thanks for trying to sssist me. finally used solution by Mansoorpataudi in 2017. Including below in case others have same problem

1. On Startup, press F12

2. Reset Bios to default settings

3. Restart laptop

4. In Bios, select Boot Sequence menu

5. Manually ADD additional line with the name "Windows Boot Manager"

6. Select /EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI

7. Exit
