PCI Bus Subsystem failure. Diagnostic test Dell 5421
Hi,
I'm running Online Diagnostic test and I have one error which is PCI Bus Subsystem. But when I run the pre-boot diagnostic test it says that all passed. What should I do with the PCI Bus Substem failure
No Events found!

Try updating and installing the chipset drivers at the 5421 support page here. Make sure to download the driver for the OS that you are using.

Hi i have dell alienware
i have the same problem, Dell is unable to provide service , and parts(expensive laptop with no support and service)
its surprising to see manufacturer has o solution to this problem
please suggest all possible solution to solve this problem

Spoke with Dell Pro Support today. This is a motherboard failure of the PCI slot (at least on my Dell Latitude 5320) where the SSD goes. So sometimes it doesn't see a hard drive installed at all.

Just got this with a random diagnostic test on my 2016 Aurora, it says the HD has a problem and the SSD is fine.
I am replacing the SSD soon to upgrade anyway and the HD is functioning normally that I am aware, I haven't noticed any problems in 8 years.
I would suggest that with a reported problem stretching 2 1/2 years and with no problem that I was aware of across what looks like various systems - the diagnostic seems flawed.

I just got this as a warning when I ran diagnostics. I only ran it because my laptop screen & my two external screens all blanked off and on two times. The fan started running really loud, too. It is all back to normal now, but I'm worried because I already had the motherboard replaced under warranty two months ago when the machine was only two months old.
