Dell Laptops without Windows???
Hi folks, do you think there's a chance Dell might ever give us the option to buy a laptop without Windows on it?
I've recently switched over to Linux and I'm so taken with it that I don't think I'll ever use Windows again. I'm gonna be buying a laptop in a couple of months. Dell is my favourite brand, but because I'm forced into buying a laptop with Windows, I think I'll be getting a Mac instead.
I reckon Dell is losing a lot of customers over this Windows thing.
Apart from emailing Dell and complaining about this, does anyone know of some forum where I can air my grievances?

Just in case you're really wanting to know if Dell might ever give us the option to buy a laptop without Windows on it, let me tell you they already do. I bought one and because it did not have windows installed, I saved a ton of money on my new laptop. You could go to www.dell.com/linux and you'll see they sell servers, desktops and laptops without Microsoft Windows installed. Or you could google 'Dell n series'
I looked at the MacBook and even bought one for my daughter (her friends have Macs - duh). But for me, I spent the same amount of money and got a computer with the same size screen, that's a bit lighter, a whole lot better looking (Crimson M1330) twice the ram, better processor and better video card. My XPS can spin all four virtural desktops like dice, and have MS windows running in a free VirtBox window to boot. Much cooler than any Mac.
Will Dell give you the option to buy a laptop without Windows? Yes. They will. In fact they do now.
