installing latest drivers - should I?
oops - not sure how I ended up in linux section; I am runningVista 32
I enter my service tag and the website lists 51 drivers that it recommends I install - eeek!!
Should I install al of them?
And if so, one by one, starting with the ones at the top of the list? (as stated on the web page).
I am pretty sure I have seen/read (sorry - I am a bit new to this) that it is possible to revert to previous driver version should things not work so well., is that correct? Ofcourse if I install them in one block, then it becomes rather hard to figure out which one to revert?
Any advise muchly appreciated.
(Still searching for a solution to fix audio pops and clicks when playing CD using media player)

Dell is not recommending you install any of those drivers. Not all those drivers are for your actual hardware setup. Dell doesn't know what you have ordered, added or replaced, so it lists every single possible driver for all the hardware that might have been installed on that model. Drivers are there for reinstalling your drivers (on a new hard drive for instance) or for updating or for hardware that might be having problems--such as a damaged driver. Remember the old adage--If it ain't broke, don't fix it. You need to look at your Hardware Device Manager to see what hardware you actually have. Installing incorrect drivers could cause problems.
