Linux: Precision 7510 - mouse button/touchpad issue
Hi, I am running a dual boot environment with Win10 and KDE Neon and so far things work pretty well. Still trying to find my way around Linux though.
Reason for my post is that I have really strange issue with one of my touchpad buttons. My 7510 has 2 sets of mouse buttons, one set below the touchpad and one above. The 3 buttons below the touchpad work without a problem. The upper left mouse button however, allows me to click and select, but not to drag items? In other words, the actual click works but when I hold the button and use the touchpad to move an item nothing happens? The lower left button works without a problem.
I am pretty sure this is not a hardware issue with the button as the this mouse button works as expected when I boot Windows.
So if this is a driver/configuration issue, anyone got an idea where to look, what to do?
Given this is probably my 5th Dell laptop and I have always used the upper left mouse button I really got used to work this way, hence this behavior is driving me mad :-/
Any help or tip in terms of where to look is appreciated!
I saw that others with similar issues posted the output of xinput, so here it is for my machine:
