Problems with Dell D3100 dockingstation

I have bought a Dell Laptop (Latitude 5480 I think it was). Through the docking station I have it connected to an additional monitor which works well. My computer have Ubuntu 16.04.

I have two different issues:

1) The docking station do not carry internet. If I put the internet cable into the docking station I do not have internet access, if I put it into the laptop directly I have.

2) The docking station do not carry power. I need to actually plug my power cable directly into the laptop as well.

The mouse/Monitor and Keyboard all works, however I still have 3 cables directly into my laptop (docking station, ethernet and power) which kind defeats the purpose of having the dockingstation.
