Ubuntu 18-19 Finger print scanner
I have a dell W6600 with FIPS, multiple applications cannot detect it, i presume that is due to drivers. 8n16r is the part number. i use ubuntu 19.04.

I have looked for and cannot find a current supported sold fingerprint reader for linux, ubuntu etc.
Installing the Gui does not seem to make any difference.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fingerprint/fingerprint-gui
sudo apt update
sudo apt install libbsapi policykit-1-fingerprint-gui fingerprint-gui
If anyone knows of a vendor that sells a usb reader for fingerprints I would like to know who they are.
All of the readers seem to be windows only.
