Update on XPS 13/15 2016 Developer Edition availability

Any news on the availability for any of the new XPS machines in a Developer Edition?

And do you know exactly what specifications will be used? I.e. 13? 15? Ram/screen/etc.?

Thanks, Phil.

So  the difference is BNX9333 is Business ... and  CNX9333 , Customer / home ... :)

Still curious if there is a i5 version with 16GB on the drawing board :)

Thanks for update Barton! I can see now an option to pick US keyboard on dell.ch, but when I choose it, I get an error and I can't put the laptop into the cart. (note: the only other options I can change is warranty and accidental protection, which should have no impact on this).

I guess , it is an error related to a Palmrest ? Not sure what kind of palmrest you have for an ultrabook :)

Also, ubuntu 16.04 LTS comes out in a few weeks , I asume that will be no problem ? :)

I'm having the same issue with the palm rest error preventing me from purchasing on the Danish website.

the Win version has 128 vs 256 SSD of the Ubuntu

You're absolutely right, I didn't notice that. Completely my fault.

Ordered!

Just bought one, good job Sputnik team. FYI the price for me in the USA was $1049, which is $50 cheaper than the Windows version.

w00t! Now I just have to remember why I wanted one ... ;)

Strange that the price is the same as the Windows version. Usually the DE is $100 cheaper (no Windows license). Any insight?

Edit: I found the coupon code so I'm ok with it, just curious why no Ubuntu discount like before, that's all.

I just checked it out and, if im looking at the same pages as you, the Win version has 128 vs 256 SSD of the Ubuntu. Are these the pages you're looking at?

Hi Kane,

Although it could always change based on customer demand, we currently dont have an i5 w/16GB config planned.

thanks again for the support :)

Let me ask the European team.

Stay tuned!

I have been casually following this thread when I remember to, so pardon me if this has been answered (I couldn't find it in any of the immediately previous pages), but is there a planned timeline for availability in Canada? I see that there is an i5/8GB/FHD now available in the US, which I would definitely be interested in if available in Canada (although my wallet wont be too thrilled about the price difference compared to the US one).

Sorry to *** in .I too have been trying to buy one thru Dell Canada The service people i chatted to professed their ignorance as to their availability.  However the xps13 DE page is now up at :

www.dell.com/.../pd

But no list of configurations or price.I was promised to be contacted by email in the future but somehow i doubt it. If thiswere any other company with a lesser known name i would think that this is all vaporware. A business which refuses to sell to customers seems a little shady.
