xps13 9360 audio over HDMI

I've been trying to get audio over HDMI.

The television is recognized and the output is fine, 1920x1080. I'm using the dell USB type c to HDMI convertor. 

Sound however doesn't seem to be transferred. I used the 'pulseaudio volume control' application and I see sound indication. But nothing is coming out the TV. Of course the TV has been tested with a different source. No issues with the HDMI port on TV. 

I also upgraded the firmware yesterday, which didn't solve the issue. (2.4.2 if i remeber correctly)

Did anyone else tried this?
