Alienware 17 R4 display question
Hello,
I just purchased the AW 17 R4 with the i7 7700hq, GTX 1070, 256GB SSD + 1TB HD, and the standard 1080p 60hz FHD IPS display. It will be here tomorrow and I'm wondering now if I should have upgraded the display to the QHD 1440p 120hz TN panel. I keep hearing its great for gamers who have the 1070 or 1080 gtx. Some one mentioned I could just buy an external QHD monitor and hook it up to the laptop using an HDMI cord. I'm super confused if I really need to send it back Dell and get it with the upgraded display or if I should buy an external monitor or just not worry about it. Any opinions?

Hi mepstein208,
It's a personal opinion, so you can wait 'til you get it, analyze it and then decide. Both are good, but of course an upgraded screen will have better looks. Not only for gaming, but for anything you do on it.
