Alienware R6 CPU Replacement
So I am looking to upgrade my CPU, but I was wondering what CPUs are compatible with the Aurora R6 MOBO. I am currently running a 6th gen i7 and wanted to see if I can switch to AMD Ryzen 7.

Hi.
unfortunately it will not work. if you want to switch to Team Red you have to buy a new Motherboard, Processor Cooler and Memory Modules as well. the best Upgrade available for you is the Intel Core i7 7700K Processor. but you already have an i7 CPU installed so the Speed Gain you have with the 7700K is not worth the Trouble TBH.

Hi ,
As is saying, that CPU is not compatible with the motherboard. So you won't be able to perform the upgrade.
