Bios,error

I have a alienware 14, purchased august 2013, that when turned on the screen stays black, fan comes on and it starts beeping. At first it was 4 beeps. I looked it up saw it was a RAM bios error, removed ram and tested one at a time. No longer get a Ram error. Now I get 8 beeps, lcd? Another board I read said to take out cmos battery and put back. I now get 5 beeps, cmos bios error. I'm not sure what I need to do or if I actually have to replace anything. Money is tight so if it can be fixed without a purchase would be best.

Hi ‌,

Try a power drain: unplug every external device from the system (including the power cord), then open the system and take the battery out; hold the power button for around a minute for all the power to be drained.

Then reset the cmos battery one more time and make sure you put it back properly.
