Graphics Amplifier question.
Hello, I was just wondering if the graphics amplifier combines the power of the card inside with the card in your build. I have a GTX 960 2GB, and I was wondering if I put a 980 Ti in the amplifier would the performance of my PC be that of a Titan X or better/worse?

No. It's only one or the other, not both at the same time.
When the Graphics Amplifier is plugged in, the laptop will switch off its internal discrete GPU and use only the GPU in the Amplifier.
When the Graphics Amplifier is unplugged, the laptop will use its internal discrete GPU.
