Help on cooling and protection
Hi, everyone. I recently bought a Alienware 17 R4 for deployment and would appreciate any advice on the best cooling pads and especially with protection for the laptop during transit.
My worries are in regards to the desert temperatures, the nature of the environment and the damage that can be caused by the jostling of the laptop, I guess I'm looking for a shell of some sort and not necessarily a laptop bag. Any ideas? Thanks!

I don't really know other than the obvious padded hard-cases.
But I wanted to mention ... too bad the more rugged business laptops and powerful mobile workstations don't provide the config option of normal mainstream (gaming-class) video cards.
Might be a good idea to tape a filter fabric of some kind to the air-cooling inlet grill. Catch the dust and dirt before it gets inside. Keep it changed often so A17-R4 can still breath. There are thin-foam types (or cut-up a AC-Window-Unit filter) and used dryer-sheets also work nice.
