Installing the R9 270X

I ordered the R9 270X and 330watt PSU to install in my sons x51 R2 which has the GTX 745. I'm not the most computer savvy person but I've heard this is a direct unplug/plug in job. Is it that simple? Will I need to install drivers? 

Lastly since I bought the parts from Dell does this protect my warranty?

    It is basically as you say an Unplug/Plug in job. 
    Here is a video on how to open the computer and take out the components. (as well as the safety precautions). Once the new video card has been installed, you will have to install the adequate driver for it. 
    Since you bought the part from DELL, it will protect your warranty.
