Ongoing Virtualization Issues...
I've posted previously and had NO RESPONSE from anyone at Dell... So I'll try again:
System configuration for your Alienware 18 (Mid 2013)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4910MQ CPU @ 2.90GHz
The Intel spec states that the processor supports virtualization, and the BIOS has says it's enabled and this is what I get:

What exact Intel processor model is installed? And to answer your question ... the point of having this laptop is for Gaming. I'm not trying to defend Dell, I'm just saying that is the intended purpose. Now, if latest Dell Precision Mobile Workstation laptop didn't support HAV, that would be a different story (and no, I have not checked).I also think it would also be easier to achieve HAV on business or enthusiast-class desktop machine. If you are playing with HAV, you know all computers are not the same inside. [:)]Dell Rockstar

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.70 GHz)
If its not supporting u r saying my 2k $ is waste of money?
My only purpose for laptop is Virtual Machines, Alienware in one of the high end config like 16gb ram 1 tb hdd...
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.70 GHz) http://ark.intel.com/products/81016/Intel-Core-i5-4210U-Processor-3M-Cache-up-to-2_70-GHz
It says YES for VT-x and EPT, but NO for VT-d .
Actually, similar to mine is regards to VT:

Want me to run your checker tool on my machine? What VT package are you trying to install anyway?

Oracle Virtualbox
Ok VirtualBox. But what software tools did you run (to pre-check laptop for VT-x support) if any?
I assume this is Win8.1_64bit running against the hardware natively?
Have you activated Hyper-V or installed some other Process that might have switched your host to VMX Root-Mode? Like, maybe another emulator?
