X51 R2
First off let me say I am completely unhappy with this product, X51 R2 and the supposed support and return policy. My brand X computer works better for an 8th of the cost.
Ok, on Dec. 9., 2013 I received this computer and did all that's necessary to get it up and running. I added AVG antivirus software and MS2013, afew card games and Pics from my camera and that’s it. on Jan. 4, 2014 I turned on the computer and it seemed to be taking longer to boot to the sign in scree, then a messages comes up and sys , could not find client or something like that, can’t remember, and starts over again like it did the very first time I turned it on. So I waited, not sure how long and it finishes, Alienware, then my name and they to the Windows 8 screen with the APP icons, but I only see four of them now and the screen starts flashing. I then get a message that says, could not load Microsoft keyboard and mouse while the screen is flashing! the message also ask if I want to check for a fix which I clicked yes and it says it finds a fix and it fixes and the mouse and key work fine but the screen is flashing and I still have only four APP tiles. So after I Ctrl+lt_Del I get the restart, shutdown or sleep button, so restart, F12 and into the, I think it’s the ESPA screen to check the computer for problems. I run the disonistics and it say all ok, so restart, and the same thing back to the flashing screen and four APP tiles only. At this point I think maybe I need to restore to a different time, so back to Dec. 27, 2013, restart and same thing. I get the screen flashing to stop only when I hold the F1 key down, and the help menu shows or the Esc key. So I am able to delete the updates, restart and the same thing is wrong. Dell says I am out my 30 day window so can’t return for refund and that I need to be in front before they will help, this a short version of my 3+ hours wait. I paid a lot of money for a computer that worked for two weeks now the company says you’re stuck with it but will help! Alos yesterday I turn it on again and now I have no APP tiles and still a flashing screen thats pikish!

I'll give a try when I get home but I am thinking a few 9mm slugs will fix it.
Thanks through, when I do get it working I will off load it as fast as I can and get something more reliable out of the box.

I am not sure I can even load the driver because I have only a flashing screen with nothing else.

can you get the x51 to work with the onboard video ? if so go the geforce.com and look up your video card and d-load the drivers and install.

Just to let everyone know I received the BEST tech. support from Mr. Steven Quiros. He was knowledgeable, friendly, understanding and put in a ticket for a service rep. to come to the house and replace the video card and if necessary the motherboard. if all goes well maybe I won’t shoot the dam computer
But, I still want to say for $1300 the dam thing should not be broke after Two weeks and also the 30 Warranty should not start until you receive your computer not when its shipped!, as with me I lost 11 days of warranty. NOT GOOD DELL!
