The steps for changing the boot sequence are
here. If you haven't added too much content to the system you might consider using PC Restore to return it to "as shipped" condition and start over.
Thank you for this info. Now I've erased the drive and reinstalled windows xp. I have a plug & play but nothing is being read? My speakers aren't working, it isn't reading that I have internet installed and I can't change the display screen beyond 640x480. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

since you've reinstalled windows, you need to install the drivers now...check device manager for any ?'s on any of the devices... :)
Thanks for putting up with me here :) I did try to reinstall the drivers. There are about 5 or 6 question marks, but they won't install because it says, "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the software". That's why, now, I'm stuck. I don't have any disks, besides the ones that came with my computer and none of them seem to be doing the trick. Any suggestions? Thank you, again, for all your help and the time you've taken to reply to my posts.

try to check your drives first. the floppy & cd drives. try to check if there is a cd or a floppy disk inside.
