Dimension 3000 display resolution problem

Hi

I have a problem with my Dell Dimension 3000 Desktop

I am using the integrated Intel 82865G video with a Iiyama ProLite E2001WSV LCD. I have been happily using this for some time at 1680x1050 with no problems. However recently something has changed or got broke meaning that I can no longer select this resolution. I am sorry but I am not sure what has changed.

How do I get back to the previous settings? I have tried rolling back drivers, removing drivers, re-installing drivers, all without success. This is for both the monitor and the 82865 chipset.

Any help much appreciated :-)

    List the drivers you reinstalled.

    Hi Chris

    I reinstalled the drivers for both the monitor and the video adapter.

    Reinstalled the monitor with latest from Iiyama website (also tried one I already had)

    Reinstalled the video adapter with drivers from here:
