Dimension 9200 processor
When customising the Dimension 9200 why will it not let you have an intel core 2 duo processor if you have selected Windows Vista home premium. It will only allow you to pick Intel Viiv core 2 duo. What is the difference between the two? is one better than other?, why is the core 2 duo not compatible with vista home premium.

Yes.Again the 9200 system is the business system configuration and XPS 410 is the home/office configuration that dell set up, and you can get basic, premium or Utilmate, which is mainly for gamers. It gives me and others a headache trying to figure out Dell :smileyvery-happy:Viiv is a combination ( Not the core 2 duo cpu chip in it self ) of CPU, mainboard chipset, software, Digital Rights Management and network card. With Viiv, you still have core 2 duo cpu but you will get the business or Basic Vista instead. Dimension 9200 is more of a business system, but basically the same as the XPS 410 system. So if you want vista home premium, go to the home/office sales site
