HELP... MY COMPUTER HATES ME

Since my husband and I bought this computer, it has given us trouble. These two things are my main annoyances. We keep getting "java script errors" and we get "expired certificate" messages. The expired certificate comes up, for example, every time I go to the Ticketmaster site and try to order tickets. I never get to the page with the tickets, it appears to search forever for seats and the page stays blank. Next is the JavaScript thing... what is that? This is an example of what I got while trying to contact Dell support:

JavaScriptError:http//support.dell.com/us/eg/emaildell/emailprep.asp,line86:

document.sysprofform.service_tag.style.has not porperties.

My Computer is a DellXPS T450 and the back says it was manufactured in September 1999.

Can anyone help us?

Oh, and we have a 96k modem.

    harryrobert,

    To stop the Java error reports ;
    Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab Check the box "Disable Script Debugging" Uncheck the Box "Display a notification about every script error.

    For the certificate notification, scroll down to the box "Warn about invalid site certification" and uncheck it.

    MarvinP,

    The certificate notification was as you said and I unchecked the box. However, the "Disable Script Debugging" was already checked and the "Display a notification about every script error" was unchecked. What else can I check? I won't be checking in again until tomorrow night, but thanks again for your help!!

    Hi harryrobert,

    You could try upgrading the Microsoft Virtual Machine, this is for displaying Java Script. You can read about it and download it here;

    Read the article because once installed it can not be uninstalled. Most, I think most, Windows users have it to view Java Script I have never had any problems with it, but just read the article.
