In April, a poster named AllisonMac reported a "Java Virtual Machine" error message when installing HP printer software from a Dell computer.

I had the exact same problem while doing so on a new Dell 4600 for an existing HP PSC 2110 All-in-One printer.

Bottom line, it's a non-issue unless you are using the HP Printer across a network.  In that case, HP offers a fix at the above site that is relatively painless.
