Quick Launch location
My Quick Launch buttons on the toolbar used to be located next to the "start" button. The buttons are now located toward the center of the toolbar area and cannot move them all the way to the left next to the start button. Now, when ever a program is running, its program shows next to the start button. Even when no programs are running, unable to move the Quick Launch buttons all the way over.
How can I move the Quick Launch buttons over right next to the start button???
Thanks

lh,
What version of windows is this for? Have you made sure that the task bar is not locked? You may want to post this to the windows board for the version installed on this system for more support.

lh,
At the left end of the Quick Launch toolbar you will see a vertical "raised" link. Place your cursor over that and it will turn into a double-headed horizontal arrow. Hold down the left mouse button and drag to the left. When it gets close to the Start button the Quick Launch toolbar should relocate to that point.

Thanks for your reply.
I have done as you suggested but can get no closer than about 1 1/2 inches from the start button. It is in that remaining area that the open programs will then show up. It is the same situation if programs are open or not.
- lh,
How long ago did the quick launch toolbar get moved out of its default position? If it wasn't more than five or six days ago (this is assuming you shut down or restart your computer at least once every 24 hours) then the procedure here may solve your problem.
